At this natural beach, you do not need to wade far to reach swimming depth. From time to time, boats pass on their way into or out of the Piirissaar canal.

Head north from the harbour. The route crosses the canal by raft towards Lake Peipus.
The lake’s water level shapes this beach. At low water, a longer strip of sand appears; at high water, the sand may not be visible at all.

PIIRISSAAR CANAL
A ladder leads from the canal pontoon into water several metres deep. This spot is not suitable for swimming with small children.
SL Marinas describes the harbour waters as unsuitable for swimming. This is not an explicit swimming ban, but you must check the conditions for using the ladder with the harbour operator.
